We use your information to:
TrueSay uses TrueSay AI to enhance your experience, including content suggestions, hashtag generation, and content moderation. Your posts and interactions may be processed by TrueSay AI to provide these features. We do not use your personal content to train AI models. For details on which third-party providers power these features, see Section 4 below.
Messages sent through TrueSay's direct messaging feature may be automatically analyzed for spam, malicious links, and content that violates our community guidelines. This scanning is performed by automated systems and is used solely for safety and platform integrity purposes. Message content is not used for advertising or shared with third parties except as described in Section 4 below.
To provide our AI-powered features and maintain platform safety, we share certain data with the following third-party processors. These providers act on TrueSay's behalf and are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes, including training their AI models.

We also use Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database and authentication, Sentry for error monitoring, and Axiom for logging. These services may process technical data (such as error reports, IP addresses, and usage logs) to help us maintain and improve the platform.
If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, we also use Google Analytics to measure aggregate usage of our website, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. We configure it to minimise what is shared: advertising features and Google Signals are disabled, and page addresses are stripped of anything identifying before they are sent, so Google receives "someone viewed a profile page" rather than which profile. See Section 5 for how to turn this on or off.
We group storage on your device into three categories. You choose which of the optional two are switched on the first time you visit, and you can change your mind at any time.
| Category | What it does | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps you signed in and protects against fraud and abuse. Includes your session cookie and your saved cookie choice itself. | No — the service cannot work without it |
| Functional | Remembers preferences such as your theme and feed settings. | Yes |
| Analytics & Performance | Aggregate usage measurement via Google Analytics, plus performance tracing in Sentry. Google Analytics sets a _ga cookie that lasts up to two years and is used to count returning visitors. | Yes — off unless you accept |
Your choice is stored on your own device under cookie_consent and is not sent to us as an account setting. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we treat that as declining analytics automatically and never ask.
Your public profile and posts are visible to other users. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information with service providers who assist in operating our platform (see Section 4), or when required by law.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. When you delete your account, we immediately delete your profile, posts, comments, messages, media, and all associated data. Deletion is irreversible and typically completes within 30 days, after which backups containing your data are also purged.
Certain data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., moderation records for legal compliance) or if needed to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect the safety of our users. Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time through your profile settings. You may also request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account entirely by contacting us.
